Please allow me to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to the House of Praise Church website. On behalf of the church Leadership and the entire church family we want you to know that we are dedicated to meeting the needs of people wherever they are in life.
The purpose of our site is to introduce you to those areas of our church ministries which are relevant to your life now.
You will find several ministries to aid you in your quest for spiritual growth and wholeness. We have classes and activities for every age group from the youngest baby to the “young at heart”.
Our goal is to clearly communicate a message of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. This hope is not found in religion or anything that we can see, but only in a personal relationship with Jesus.
We are a group of believers that are committed to following Jesus.
That means we worship him with vigour and joy. We encourage prayer in church and throughout life.
Please feel free to visit us and experience the love of God.

Bishop Raymond Veira
The House of Praise
Pastor Bishop Raymond
Pastor Bishop Ray, or Raymond (as he is affectionately known), is the epitome of a man who has risen to the challenges of being a modern day minister of the Gospel of Christ. He committed his life to God at the age of 21 and from that moment he has never looked back.
Raymond has a passion for God, demonstrated through his uncompromising approach to the teaching and preaching of the Gospel. He has served as an assistant pastor, care group leader, Sunday school teacher, youth pastor and treasurer, all in preparation for his role as Senior Pastor for the House of Praise, (Easton Bristol), and co-District Overseer for the churches in the Bristol and the Southwest Region.
His remit inside and outside of church has been to present a relevant message of Christ that is firmly based in biblical principles. His vision is to take forward Jesus`s commandments to believers to go out and make disciples of men.
As a long standing champion of local causes, Raymond demonstrates his commitment to localism through his active involvement in the life of the local community. He sits on a number of committees and local boards that have “Social Action” at their heart, and he firmly believes that the Church must be relevant today in taking forward the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Raymond previously served as Chair of the Management Committee for Bristol Community Transport, and also the Management Committee for Nilaari, a drug treatment agency, responding to the needs of vulnerable men and women in the wider Bristol area.
Pastor Raymond is dedicated, and ever thankful to God for his family. He has been married for over 30 years to his wife Jeannette who is actively involved in a Preaching and Teaching ministry within the local church. Their sons Raymond (junior), Adryan, and daughter-in-law Anne and the new grand-son Elijah are indeed a blessing from the Lord.
